The sequel to the 2013 smash hit horror film "The Conjuring" has been making progress, and now that principle photography is over, the producers and director James Wan have been busy getting the movie ready for fans.

According to Entertainment Weekly, who premiered an exclusive photo from the film, there is going to be quite a unique spin to the film that will involve the Warrens and their well documented supernatural cases in the 1970s.

Wan has been excited to share news of the film's progress, but there are still many details being kept under wraps. He did, however, share a picture from the film with its creepy setting on Twitter.

As previously reported, the film will step forward in time and jump Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) into 1977 England.

Fans should note filmmakers describe the plot as based on a real event, although the story comes from the Warren case files and there is no other substantial evidence that the events occurred as depicted in the film. The case was the same with the first film in the series and the spin-off film "Annabelle."

"The Conjuring: The Enfield Poltergeist" will take place in the town of Enfield, England, where the real events were purported to have taken place. But just like the first film, the producers will be starting out the new movie with another case the Warrens worked, the Amityville case, which was immortalized in other literature and film back in the late 1970s.

The Warrens did indeed take part in the investigation of the Amityville house, but it was after all of the legendary events had happened there, like the incidents with the DeFeo and Lutz families.

Wan said that the Enfield case "is probably one of the most documented paranormal cases in the world." He visited the actual locale where the events supposedly took place during production on the film.
