'Grimm' Season 5 Midseason Premiere May Feature Nick, Adalind Kiss
New photos from the second half of Season 5 of "Grimm" suggest that Nick (David Giuntoli) and his former foe turned baby mama Adalind (Claire Coffee) may end up getting romantic when the NBC series returns in January.
Last season, Adalind announced that she was pregnant with Nick's child, after the two slept together while she was pretending to be his girlfriend Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch). As a result, Adalind inadvertently turned Juliette into an evil hexenbiest, which ultimately led to Juliette's death.
Despite the circumstances, Nick has remained cordial with Adalind for the sake of their son. However, preview photos show that their relationship may soon become romantic. In one picture, they appear to be getting ready to kiss.
In other pics, published on TVLine, Nick's team appear to be shocked following the unexpected return of Juliette as Eve.
Guest star Bailey Chase also appears in the gallery as Lucien Petrovich, the leader of a Wesen revolutionary group.
During an interview with TVLine, "Grimm" co-creator David Greenwalt opened up about Tulloch's new character, a woman named Eve who shares many of Juliette's memories, has ties to the Black Claw, and is extremely dangerous.
"It's not really Juliette anymore. It's this new character, Eve, who has not been brainwashed exactly, but she's been through some incredibly tough training where they broke her down to nothing," Greenwalt said. "She's basically a super Hexenbiest weapon for Hadrian's Wall to fight Black Claw."
Tulloch also opened up about her new role, telling TVLine that "Juliette's flesh and blood, her DNA, is still alive. But this is not Juliette."
The actress added that Eve has a strong handle on the Hexenbiest skills that Juliette had trouble managing.
"The new character is all about reining it in in and utilizing this in the best possible way, not wasting an ounce of this incredible power that she has," Tulloch said.
"Grimm" Season 5 Episode 7 will premiere on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
