Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has been hit with divorce rumors lately. The "X-Factor UK" judge has yet to comment on the current status of her marriage with Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini. However, she may have just fuelled the divorce speculations after she appeared looking sad in a recent selfie.

The Instagram snap showed Cheryl wearing her hair in a bun and dressed in a turtle neck sweater. She captioned the black-and-white photo: "think its time for the.. Studio!!! It is 2016." However, the singer's facial expression does not reflect her excitement for the New Year. The "X-Factor UK" judge instead gave the camera a pensive look.

Her photo came amid reports her 19-month marriage with Jean-Bernard is on the rocks. Cheryl has been hit with divorce claims after the couple have failed to show up in public together recently. Divorce rumors also went into overdrive after she deleted a photo of the French restaurateur on her Instagram page.

According to Mail Online, the now-deleted snap showed Jean-Bernard showing the camera his flat stomach. The image was reportedly posted by Cheryl on her Instagram in August and was captioned, "He tells me I'm almost there." Only one photo of Jean-Bernard is left on her Instagram feed, which was supposedly taken during her 31st birthday celebration.

Cheryl's decision to delete her husband's photo on her Instagram is said to be quite suspicious. It reportedly hints to troubles in their marriage especially when she removed it amid speculations they are heading for a divorce.

The former Girls Aloud singer's cousin, Tony Tweedy, also hinted to The Sun that their marriage is on the rocks. Her family reportedly thinks their marriage is over.

"When I asked if Cheryl was happy with him, they replied, 'Put it this way, I'll give it six months.' That was three months ago, and look what's happening. Cheryl's gone from the most beautiful lass in Britain to an absolute mess who is falling to bits," Tweedy told the publication.

He added that language barrier may have also caused a problem in their relationship. Tweedy told The Sun that his cousin still cannot speak French while Jean-Bernard can only speak little English.

It's believed Cheryl's drastic weight loss is also caused by troubles in her marriage with Jean-Bernard. However, the singer's husband has since slammed the divorce speculations back in November on his Instagram post. He had called his wife as his priority and promised that he will always be there for her no matter what.
