Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato Crack Forbes' 30 Under 30 List
Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have both been named to Forbes magazine's list "30 Under 30: Meet The Young People Transforming Media."
The magazine describes the 23-year-old Gomez as a "triple threat," making note of her Disney film career with six years on the hit "Wizards on Waverly," as well as her rising status as a musical artist who has already topped more than 22 million in album sales.
Gomez recently followed up the wildly successful release of her "Revival" album with the smash singles "Good for You" and "Hands to Myself."
The sultry singer has also managed to stay in the limelight via her whitehot love life.
Justin Bieber's on-again, off-again galpal is rumored to have recently commenced dating One Direction singer Niall Horan, perhaps setting the stage for a battle over her between Bieber and his one-time pal.
Meanwhile, Lovato has arguably proven to be just as captivating. The 23-year-old singer's latest album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard charts, largely fueled by her smash hit "Cool for the Summer."
Lovato likewise got her start on Disney, starring in the 2008 film "Camp Rock." That same year her debut album "Don't Forget" premiered at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 list.
After a bumpy period that included a stint in rehab, Lovato has admirably bounced back. She credits boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama with helping her to find her way.
"He never takes credit for my sobriety, but I guarantee I wouldn't be alive without him today," she recently told reporters. Lovato added her boyfriend of more than five years is front and center in her support system, and she's grown exceedingly proud of the relationship they've built.
"As I get more serious in my life, I'm more proud," she added. "I also wanted to give him a lot of credit that he never takes."
Also cracking the Forbes list were singers Jason Derulo, 26, The Weeknd, 25, Fetty Wap, 24, and Nick Jonas, 23.
