‘Baywatch’ Film Casts Pamela Anderson’s Iconic Character
If there is one character from the classic '90s TV series "Baywatch" that is considered be a iconic, that would be C.J. Parker, originally played by Pamela Anderson. Now that the new film is in production, the role of C.J. has been cast and fans will love who is playing the part.
According to Variety, the role has gone to model and actress Kelly Rohrbach. She is perhaps best know for her work on the runway, but she has also appeared in a few independent films and will be featured in the next Woody Allen movie.
Although she will be coming into the film with some industry experience under her belt, she will likely be glamorizing the role the same way Anderson did with raw sex appeal.
Rohrbach definitely has the look that fits the part. She recently posted a shot of the production on her Instagram account and by the look of things, she will be fitting in well.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will also be starring in the film as well as serving as a producer on the project. He also took to Instagram to post his own funny moment from the set.
Variety reports that since Zac Efron, Rohrbach and Johnson have signed onto the film, they have all mutually agreed on the creative direction they will take. Although the TV series delved into drama and sex appeal as the main focus for the storylines, the movie has decided to take on a comical approach. But with the added sex appeal, of course.
Production on the film has been underway for quite some time now and there are not many details to it that have been disclosed at this time. The current draft of the script they are working with was written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
Production on the film is expected to wrap in the next few months, but there has been no word yet on when it will be released for fans.
