Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg Engaged: Anti-Vaccine Queen to Get Married to Former New Kid on the Block
It's official! After a year of dating, lovebirds Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are engaged.
The 41-year-old comedian and TV host broke the news live on The View Wednesday. "I just got an engaged!" McCarthy squealed as she proceeded to show off her massive yellow sapphire ring to the audience and her fellow View co-hosts.
So how did the former New Kids On the Block member pop the question?
"This weekend I was sitting with Donnie ... and he went into the other room and out came Evan with a card that said 'Will' and he handed it to me," McCarthy explained on the daytime show.
"Then Evan ran away and Evan came in with a card that said 'You.' ... I just started crying and then Evan came back into the room with the word 'Marry' but spelled wrong."
"The last time, Donnie came out with Evan and Donnie's shirt said 'Me' with a question mark ... and he got down on his knee," she gushed.
"Of course, I said 'Yes,'" she said. "In that moment Evan yelled, 'I have another dad!' and it made all of us cry."
McCarthy's now-fiancé also made an appearance on the show and the two shared a kiss on set as they relished in the moment.
It's clear now that McCarthy has changed her stance on getting married. In the past, McCarthy revealed that she did not want to get married again after her divorce to John Mallory Asher in 2005 and her breakup to Jim Carrey in 2010.
It seems that McCarthy may have also changed her anti-vaccine views although she now claims she was never anti-vaccine.
In her recent post in the Chicago Sun Times, she wrote "I am not 'anti-vaccine.' This is not a change in my stance nor is it a new position that I have recently adopted. For years, I have repeatedly stated that I am, in fact, 'pro-vaccine' and for years I have been wrongly branded as 'anti-vaccine.'"
She continued, "I am passionate about important conversations on how we can improve health care for our children and generations to come. This is an extremely important discussion and I am dumbfounded that these conversations are discounted and negated because the answers are not black or white."

Either way, we congratulate McCarthy and Walhberg. As for when they plan to get married; well, the couple is considering August of next year.
