Jeb Bush Takes Swipe at Donald Trump's Multiple Marriages
2016 Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush took a shot at Donald Trump over his multiple marriages and claimed that his fellow GOP contenders are too scared to challenge Trump head on.
While speaking on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Tuesday, Bush took a subtle jab at the GOP front-runner, who has been married three times. Bush's comment came in response to a question about his theory that Hillary Clinton would crush Trump in a general election.
"You say that Trump would get crushed by Hillary Clinton. Why do you say that? So far he's crushed everybody," TV host Mika Brzezinski said in a video published on Mediaite.
"He's captured people's angst and anger for sure. He's a great politician in that regard. But look, he's a buddy of the Clintons." the former Florida governor said. "Is he the only person on the stage that's given money to Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton's campaign, and their foundation? I think he's probably the only guy that invited Hillary Clinton to one of his weddings."
Bush then went on to accuse Trump of having similar views to Clinton.
"His views are closer aligned to Hillary Clinton's than that of a conservative. How can he beat Hillary Clinton when we get into the general election? He'll get crushed," he said.
Bush continued, calling the billionaire businessman a "bully" and claiming that he is the only candidate who is not afraid to take the real estate mogul on.
"You got take on the bully head on. That's what I'm doing. Everybody else is in the witness protection program, I've noticed," the former two-term governor said as the hosts laughed loudly. "You got to stand up for a guy that says the things that he says and guarantees a conservative won't be elected president, that's wrong. I've been a conservative all my adult life. That's what I'm fighting for."
