Selena Gomez's once budding relationship with Niall Horan is rumored to have hit the skids amid rumors she isn't ready to fully commit to him.

Hollywood Life reports the two haven't been seen together in days. The cause of the cold relations could have something to do with the "Come Get It" singer's reluctance to completely embrace the relationship.

The 22-year-old Old Direction singer is reportedly understanding of Gomez's wishes and committed to not pressuring or rushing her, but the development is rumored to have definitely put a damper on the courtship.

In fact, some insist Gomez may never change her mind, as she is also rumored to be afraid getting any more serious may ultimately put their friendship in jeopardy.

And then there is the matter of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber, who recently boasted he is convinced his ex-girlfriend still and will always love him.

Hollywood Life reports, during a recent "The Bert Show" radio appearance, Bieber told hosts Bert Weiss and Kristin Klingshirn he's convinced that Gomez still pines for him.

"She loves me," he said. "I love her too, always."

It wasn't long ago that Gomez and Bieber appeared headed for yet another reconciliation, after he was spotted serenading her with "My Girl" at the Montage Beverly Hills. The two were also spied that night packing on the PDA. Not long before that, Gomez gushed in an Elle magazine interview that that she will "forever support" and love her ex.

Still, none of that was enough to stop Bieber from spending New Year's Eve in the Caribbean with teen model Hailey Baldwin. During the vacation, the two were photographed in a passionate embrace, which later appeared on social media.

The Baldwin photo followed weeks of speculation about Bieber hooking up with much older "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Kourtney Kardashian.
