Many MMA fans are expecting a rematch between Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey, but before it happens presumably at UFC 200 in July, the reigning UFC Women's Featherweight champion will be in action. UFC President Dana White confirmed on Wednesday's episode of UFC Tonight that Holm will indeed fight before her second showdown with Rousey.

"We don't have a fight for Holly yet. We have a lot of work to do. All gonna depend on timing. We have no answers right now on any of this," White told Yahoo! Sports. The announcement comes off a few days after "The Preacher's Daughter" signed an eight-fight, multi-million-dollar extension with the UFC.

According to Holm's manager and promoter Lenny Fresquez, they would like a match against Miesha Tate. "Holly's used to staying active. We're from the old school, and we believe the No. 1 contender is there for a reason. Miesha Tate deserves a shot, but it's not for me to decide," Fresquez told the Los Angeles Times via MMA Junkie in early December.

"We'd like to fight Miesha. We understand there are risks, but Holly's a dominant champion, and she wants to fight the best. Right now, Miesha is the best," he added. Tate expected a third shot against Rousey after earning a win over Jessica Eye last July, but the UFC instead chose Holm for the UFC 193 event.

The 34-year-old went on shock the world after delivering a brutal head kick knockout on "Rowdy," giving Rousey her first career loss. White previously mentioned that he was against a Holm interim fight as it is a very risky move in financial terms.

Yahoo! Sports notes that if Holm successfully defends her title, she can enter the Rousey rematch even bigger, but if she loses, Rousey-Holm II will not be as big if Holm goes in as an undefeated champion. The UFC is planning big fights for UFC 200 and is looking to break pay-per-view records.

As for Ronda, she is still two of the biggest stars in the UFC despite her setback and fans will surely watch her fight. She is still recovering from her injuries sustained against the fight with Holm, but she has a very busy schedule.

It was announced this week that she will be hosting NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on Jan. 23 with Selena Gomez as musical guest, per the Los Angeles Times. The 28-year-old is the first MMA fighter ever to host the television show. Rousey has also been setting the internet on fire with her rumored body paint swimsuit for Sports Illustrated.
