GTA 5 for PC, PS4 & Xbox One: Is Rockstar Games Waiting Until 2015 to Release New Grand Theft Auto V Games?
Rockstar Games has never announced that Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Release date rumors about the games keep coming, however, and they're getting specific.
Recently, online retailer Altex added Grand Theft Auto V for PC to its website. The game is priced at 179.90 LEI.The more interesting part of the Altex news is that the Romanian website includes their own unique release date: March 15, 2015. This is one of the chronologically latest speculated PC release dates to arise.
Could Rockstar Games really make gamers wait almost another whole year before making the game available? Another source says no. Czech retailer SuperGamer also has listings for Grand Theft Auto V for PC, as well as PS4 and Xbox One. It claims the games will be available starting June 13 of this year. Gamers say the rumor seems at least somewhat possible as the date is a Friday, a popular day for developers to release games.
So just how reputable is this Altex? According to GotGame, Altex has accurately posted listings for unannounced games in the past that did eventually come into fruition.
"The most recent one was the Jackdaw edition of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, which was displayed on their website before Ubisoft revealed it officially," GotGame reported.
Altex also has listings for Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 and Xbox One. The website gives these games an even later release date: June 15, 2015. The next-gen console games are priced at 299.90 LEI.
Various other retailers have made their own listings for new Grand Theft Auto V games as well. Eurogamer Portugal reported that Worten is taking pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 and is even "accepting cash," according to Segment Next. On March 9, GameStop put up a listing for Grand Theft Auto V PC but quickly took it down, according to Motoring Crunch. In addition, GK4.me, a German website, is selling Steam keys for a PC version, and gamers have also found hope in Amazon, whose Germany store has a listing for Grand Theft Auto V PC and whose French site used to have the same. Amazon Germany lists Grand Theft Auto V PC at 60 euros and says it is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista but does not list minimum system requirements. Lokiolr, a Twitter user who describes himself as "Co-founder of the Voice Of Geeks Network Host of Orange Lounge Radio XBOX," says gamers should "Expect an E3 announcement from [Rockstar Games] this year. Likely GTA V on nextgen."
