Golden Globes 2016: Best Dressed Celebrities on the Red Carpet This Year
The Golden Globes celebrate the best performers in film and television. It's not just the work that gets the attention during the star-studded evening, though. The show begins on the red carpet, where the most eye-catching looks get just as much attention as the awards given out. Check out the crème of the crop in this year's rundown of the best-dressed celebrities in the 2016 Golden Globes awards show.
Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton
The Swedish beauty was a vision in white. According to a report from Hollywood Reporter, the 27-year old was styled by Victoria Sekrier and paired her Louis Vuitton gown with dangling diamond earrings. Dressed in her dreamy pleated number, Vikander looked the part of a double nominee as she enjoyed her nominations for "The Danish Wife" and "Ex Machina".
The fresh color was a popular choice with the ladies of the Golden Globes. Other stunning women in white were Laverne Cox in Elizabeth Kennedy, Saoirse Ronan in Yves Saint Laurent and Taraji P. Henson in Stella McCartney.
Brie Larson in Calvin Klein
Larson dazzled in a gold Calvin Klein Collection number with cut-outs, showing off her toned physique. The actress, who took home the Best Actress award for her work in "Room", scored a win on the red carpet as well with her hair slicked back and Tiffany & Co. Jewelry.
Golden hues wowed in the night's ceremonies with stunners such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Versace, Kate Hudson in Michael Kors, Eva Green in Elie Saab and Regina King in Krikor Jabotian rocking the eye-catching color.
Jennifer Lopez in Giambattista Valli
J-Lo commanded the attention of everyone once again in her Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress with Harry Winston jewelry and Jimmy Choos. The superstar covered up in the caped yellow gown, but basked in 200 carats of diamonds by Harry Winston, according to a report from US Magazine.
A bevy of ladies rocked bold colors including winner Jennifer Lawrence in Dior, Amy Adams in Versace, America Ferrara in Jenny Packham and Emmy Rossum in Armani Prive.
Zendaya in Marchesa
There was no shortage of plunging necklines in the 2016 Golden Globes, and young star Zendaya led the pack in her burgundy lace Marchesa gown.
Other fashion-forward stars who showed some skin are Jenna Dewan Tatum in Zuhair Murad, Sophia Bush in Narciso Rodriguez, Kirsten Dunst in Valentino, Jamie Alexander in Genny, Olivia Wilde in Michael Kors and Viola Davis in Marchesa.
Gina Rodriguez in Zac Posen
Opting for another way to show some skin, Gina Rodriguez chose a navy off-shoulder gown by Zac Posen. Glamorous and confident, the 31-year-old actress looked like a red carpet pro with her eye-catching dress.
Other stars who went for an off-shoulder number include Lady Gaga in Versace and Amy Schumer in Prabal Gurung.
