Idris Elba Welcomes Baby Boy With Girlfriend Via Twitter, Ex-Wife Celebrates One Year Anniversary [PIC]
Actor Idris Elba is all smiles following the announcement of the birth of his son via Twitter on Friday.
Watch out ladies, if little Elba is anything like his father, he will surely be a heartthrob.
"My Son Winston Elba was born yesterday..Truly Amazing :-)," Elba tweeted.
The joyous tweet also included a link to a black and white photo of the British actor holding on to little Winston's hand. Awww.
This is the second child for Elba, who already has a daughter named Isan, 11, from his previous marriage. Winston is Elba's first child (and son) with current girlfriend Naiyana Garth, however, who announced her pregnancy back in November. Garth is undoubtedly happy to be a new mom and to be on the arms of one of Hollywood's hottest hunks, but she isn't the only woman linked to Elba who is beaming from ear to ear.
Idris' ex-wife Kim recently celebrated her one-year anniversary to Pastor Andrew L. Friar, II and couldn't be happier in her new marriage.
"For the woman I am now, I am so blessed to share my life with Andrew. Not only is he a man of God, but his patience, understanding and confidence in what we have never ceases to amaze me. God couldn't have given me more," Kim told Eur Web. "Andrew's vision for himself and his ministry really spoke to my spirit. I have always been a woman of conviction and finding a man who shared that outlook was something I had yet to imagine."
As for her previous marriage to Idris Elba? Well, Kim explains that, though stardom may have gotten in between their relationship, she was able to receive her "most precious gift."
"I knew he would be a great actor. He showed amazing promise when we were young, and there was no doubt in my mind that he would surpass many, but how his public reacts to him, I never even considered. It had no place in my thought process and tickles me now. It was a priceless experience that bought me my most precious gift, my daughter Isan. I knew that what Idris wanted to achieve would take major sacrifices, so I held on for the ride. But I must say, I am very happy with how things have turned out for us all," she explained.
Well, thank goodness everyone's happy. Congrats to you both!
