'The Blue Bloods Cookbook' by Bridget Moynahan Lists Recipes of Food Featured in CBS Show ‘Blue Bloods’
Hollywood actress Bridget Moynahan has revealed some of the contents of her cookbook titled "The Blue Bloods Cookbook." Some of the recipes provided in the book are reportedly for the foods featured in the CBS show "Blue Bloods."
"The Blue Bloods Cookbook" is filled with 120 pages of family-inspired recipes. It features sumptuous and home-style recipes of the foods that are seen at each end episode of "Blue Bloods, "according to the details of the book provided by Amazon.
"Bridget Moynahan, the show's star, invites you to partake in that sacred family ritual, offering food lovers more than 100 delectable recipes and bringing you Irish/Italian comfort food that will make you feel right at home," read the description of "The Blue Bloods Cookbook" posted by Amazon.
Some of the food recipes found in the cookbook include a Manhattan-style clam chowder, Chicken Francese, Arthur Avenue Spaghetti and Meatballs, Standing Rib Roast with Cippolini Onion Sauce, Cheesecake with NYPD Blue Topping and Reagan-style Pizza.
Moynahan also revealed that the cookbook features her mother's favorite Swedish meatball recipe. She said it's her family's go-to recipe for a Christmas eve food.
The 44-year-old actress, who stars on the CBS show as Erin Reagan-Boyle, penned the book with Wendy Howard Goldberg. However, she revealed in an interview with CBS that the casts of "Blue Bloods" also helped complete the recipes in the book.
"Every cast member gave a recipe. What's been nice about the cast is everyone's very different in the way they eat. Will is vegetarian. His recipe was completely different than everybody else's... it's much more of a meat-and-potatoes kind of cookbook. Tom Selleck's wife provided a recipe for Shepherd's Pie which was absolutely delicious," she said.
Moynahan also has a different preference for her mashed potatoes. Unlike the ones they serve on the show, she admitted that she likes her mashed potatoes with more butter and cream.
The actress' revelation about the contents of "The Blue Bloods Cookbook" came after her ex-boyfriend Tom Brady's chef revealed the athlete's strict diet. Brady, his supermodel wife Giselle Bundchen and their two kids reportedly follow a strict plant-based diet that involves not eating foods that are featured in Moynahan's cookbook.
The couple's personal chef Allen Campbell said the family stays away from gluten, caffeine, dairy, sugar, iodized salt and also from nightshades such as tomatoes and eggplants, per Latin Post. Whereas, Moynahan, who shares a son with Brady, is all about fat and sugar in her "The Blue Bloods Cookbook."
