'La Voz Kids' Season Two: Blind Auditions End; Battle Rounds About To Begin
On the sixth episode of La Voz Kids, the coaches completed their teams with 18 singers apiece.
The first performer of the evening was Jeshua, a 14-year-old from Puerto Rico. The salsa singer had all three coaches turn around for him. The judges tried to persuade Jeshua and Prince Royce, and even said that he was the winning coach of the first season. Meanwhile, Natalia Jimenez sang one of her songs because Jeshua liked her music. However, the Puerto Rican eventually went with Roberto Tapia.
The 11-year-old Samantha also had luck with all three coaches. Tapia fought for the little girl as he stated that he was the first one to turn around. Meanwhile, Jimenez said that she had an incredible voice and Royce said he had never heard a voice similar to hers. At the end, Samantha went with Jimenez.
The third singer of the evening was Jesus, 14, from California. The young singer, who went into the audition with a confident attitude, failed to get any coach to turn around. The coaches thought he was wonderful, but lacked intonation.
Isaiah, Thalia, and Melanie were also among the singers that did not make it into the show.
Abel, 14-year-old from Florida, was the following performer. Jimenez was the only singer to turn around at the end of the song. Royce said he did not choose Abel because he lacked emotion in his performance while Tapia said that he did not feel anything in the singing.
Then 14-year-old Yorgelis from Boston infused the audience with energy and had Royce and Tapia turn around for her. Royce loved her performance while Tapia said she was blessed by her voice. The young girl eventually went with Royce.
Tapia chose his 17th singer when Jasmin from Texas sang. While they did not chose the singer, Royce said that she had a wonderful voice while Jimenez said that she did a beautiful job.
Katie, an 11-year-old from New York, did not make the cut and the coaches said that she was too nervous at the beginning of the song. However, all the coaches were disappointed with themselves for not turning around.
Dorothy, 13 from Puerto Rico, surprised the coaches with her first public performance ever. The young singer had all three coaches turn around and fight for her. Tapia said that she was a unique voice that could not be found in a 100 years while Royce said that she was advanced for her age. Dorothy ended up choosing Royce; she completed his 18-singer team.
One of the last performers was Amy, a 13 year-old-year from New Jersey, and she had Tapia and Jimenez turn around. Jimenez said that she did a phenomenal job with the song while Tapia added that she was privileged. At the end Amy chose Jimenez, completing the coach's team.
The final performer of the night was Gilmarie, 15, became the last teammate for Tapia. Royce and Jimenez wanted to turn around but since they did not have anymore space on their teams they could not do so.
Next week the battle rounds will begin, and a number of children will be eliminated.
