Eva Longoria to Guest Star on 'Devious Maids' Season 4
Actress and producer Eva Longoria is going to step out from behind the camera for Season 4 of "Devious Maids" to take on a guest starring role.
According to Deadline, the actress will be appearing on the next season of the Lifetime series, for which she serves as executive producer.
While Longoria's role and the details of the episode are still unknown, it has been confirmed that the guest role will be part of a small "Desperate Housewives" reunion.
The 40-year-old star will once again share the screen with James Denton, who played Mike Delfino on the popular ABC series and is also going to make a Season 4 appearance.
"Devious Maids" was created by and is produced by several members of the production team that worked on "Desperate Housewives," including creator Marc Cherry and executive producers Sabrina Wind, Brian Tanen and Longoria.
Also serving as executive producers are Curtis Kheel, Larry Shuman, David Lonner, John Mass, Paul Presburger and Michael Garcia.
The show stars Roselyn Sánchez, Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez and Judy Reyes as maids who bond over the secrets and drama that surround the lives of the wealthy Beverly Hills crowd for whom they work.
It was announced in September 2015 that the series would be getting a fourth season due to its dedicated following, reported Variety.
“‘Devious Maids’ is a steady hit that continues to deliver for us,” said Liz Gateley, EVP of programming for Lifetime.
“It has found a loyal audience that is socially engaged with the show. The entire writing and production team worked hard to up the storytelling this year and the cast delivered great performances, so the show just gets better and better. I am very excited to renew it for another season," she added.
Aside from her work on "Devious Maids," which returns June 2016, Longoria recently premiered her new NBC comedy "Telenovela." Longoria serves as the show's star as well as one of the executive producers.
