‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Season 3, Episode 12 Spoilers: Trailer Shows Jake Partners With Holt [Watch]
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" has released a new clip for the upcoming Episode 12, in which Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Capt. Holt (Andre Braugher) are forced to work together under less than ideal circumstances.
It's not very often Jake and Holt work a case together on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," but the next episode will find them searching for clues just like any other partners.
After the show made its move to Tuesdays following the holiday hiatus, fans may have missed a little of the content that has aired since last year. To sum things up: The comedy got out of control when Charlie's (Joe Lo Truglio) sperm was held hostage. Though that dilemma was delightful, the comedy is about to take another great leap forward, when Jake contracts a case of the mumps.
In the next episode, according to Spoilers Guide, just like many detectives in real life, the fictional detectives have to jump right into the meat of the situation when crimes happen in order to complete a thorough investigation. That means exposing themselves to unseen dangers, even biological diseases.
When Jake and Holt get deep into the current case, they both end up with the mumps. But they are determined to keep working. So when they are forced into quarantine, they request to be isolated together to continue their investigation.
The two then have to bounce their theories of each other in close quarters, which soon leads to them butting heads on certain aspects of the case.
Meanwhile, in a rare move, Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) will become sympathetic to Charlie's recent loss of sperm. She tries to find some way to help him get through it, despite the utter ridiculous nature of his grief. Terry (Terry Crews) will also have to help clean up a mess.
Episode 12, titled "9 Days," will finally return to broadcast network Fox next Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. ET, according to TV Guide.
