'Clash of Clans' Update Features: New Patch to Fix Loot Issues, Introduce Star Bonuses and More
"Clash of Clans" has gotten considerable flack for the changes in the last major update of the game. As a response to the player feedback, Supercell is rolling out a new update soon that is meant to address some of the loot issues that have been cropping up since the last patch in December.
The developer made the announcement on the official Supercell forums, where staff member Anoushka provided a rundown of the new features and fixes that's expected to be included in the update namely: Star Bonus, Treasury and Loot Cart.
The first one, Star Bonus, is a brand new feature that is already available in another Supercell game called Clash Royale, according to "Clash of Clans" veteran Chief Pat via The Bitbag. It's a good perk for dedicated players as it allows them to engage in multiplayer attacks for a daily resource bonus of five stars. This is likely designed by Supercell to help the players overcome the problems and imbalance of the loot in the mobile game.
Another interesting addition that will be making its way into the best-selling game is what's called the Treasury. Players can find this inside the Clan Castle, and it will reportedly be the "safest place to store resources". It's a secure storage spot as only a limited number of the loot it holds can be stolen by raiders. Meanwhile, all the Star Bonus and War Loot Bonus are automatically held here.
Finally, the last feature revealed by the Supercell team is the Loot Cart. This new magical obstacle is handy for village attacks as it recovers a portion of the resources that have been lost in this Loot Cart. It's said to have a storage cap though, but as soon as the resources have been collected, these will be instantly transferred to the Treasury.
No official date has been confirmed for this upcoming patch, but it shouldn't take too long now. In the post, Anoushka revealed that the team is working to get it out "as soon as possible".
While the three new features announced primarily focused on "Clash of Clans" loot, the update looks to offer other upgrades to the popular game.
"Besides these new features, the update will also include a few bug fixes and battle balancing tweaks," the development team said in the forum. "We'll provide more details soon, stay tuned!"
Do you think these new additions will able to solve the problems of "Clash of Clans"?
