Supermodel Kate Moss Pays Tribute to David Bowie at 42nd Birthday
Kate Moss paid tribute to the late David Bowie during her 42nd birthday party. Boy George, who was a guest at the bash, revealed what transpired during the celebration on social media.
Singer Boy George took to his Twitter to reveal that Bowie's life was honored during Moss' birthday party. Guests danced to the singer's classic hit songs during the bash, which was held at the model's home in Cotswolds on Saturday night.
According to Mail Online, the supermodel hired a food van to serve food for her guests. A Create Cocktails and Dirty Burger van were spotted arriving at her Cotswolds resident on Saturday. However, photographs from the celebration have yet to be released.
Ahead of the birthday bash, a source claimed Moss had initially not planned on hosting a David Bowie-themed party. The source told Mirror UK that Moss had asked her guests to dress up as Eddie and Patsy, the characters in the movie "Absolutely Famous," where she is set to appear in July.
However, she decided to pay tribute to Bowie, whom she's considered as a friend, after learning about his death. The source told Mirror UK that Moss was really devastated about his death. So, she asked her guests to come in their best 80s attire and "channel their inner-Bowie" to her 42nd birthday bash.
"She wants the party to be a celebration of his life as well as hers. It's going to be wild," the source had told Mirror UK about Moss' birthday party plans.
The supermodel also paid tribute to the late singer, known for his nickname Ziggy Stardust, ahead of her 42nd birthday party. Moss was spotted wearing a shirt printed with Bowie's face earlier in the week. Mail Online shared a photo of the model dressed in her inner-Bowie getup on the site.
Aside from Moss, fans and other celebrities have also pooled in their tribute to Bowie after learning of his death from cancer at the age of 69. Madonna sang his classic "Rebel Rebel" during her "Rebel Heart" concert in Houston, Texas last Tuesday. She also shared several photos of the singer on her Instagram page.
Some models from the Men's Fashion Week also walked the catwalk last week with "RIP David Bowie" tattoos inked on their bodies. Fans likewise asked for a miracle to bring the singer back in a petition addressed to God called "Say No To David Bowie Dead."
