NBA Fantasy Basketball Week 13 Waiver Wire: Taj Gibson, Darrell Arthur, Donald Sloan, Mario Chalmers Getting Attention
The 2015-16 NBA Fantasy Basketball season is entering its crucial stage. Here are some of the players who are getting a lot of attention in most leagues.
Taj Gibson - Chicago Bulls
Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson became a hot commodity but is still available in almost 50 percent of all fantasy leagues. The 30-year-old is expected to get increased playing time after All-Star center Joakim Noah was ruled out for the remainder of the season because of a shoulder injury.
Gibson averaged 7.7 points on 52.0 percent shooting on top of 7.0 rebounds per game. Fantasy owners should pick him up as soon as possible because the Bulls have four games this week. It should be noted, though, that the seven-year veteran is shooting just 67.2 percent from the free-throw line.
Darrell Arthur - Denver Nuggets
Denver Nuggets forward Darrell Arthur also deserves a look in all fantasy leagues after his performances in Week 12. The 27-year-old averaged 14.3 points on 61.3 percent shooting from the field to go along with 8.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in their last three games.
In their 112-110 huge win against the Golden State Warriors last week, Arthur had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. The former Kansas standout is still available in 97 percent of all leagues. Fantasy owners with room for experiment should take a serious look.
Donald Sloan - Brooklyn Nets
Brooklyn Nets point guard Donald Sloan is also gaining ground in their recent games since veteran Jarrett Jack went down with a season-ending knee injury. Fantasy owners who have a player to cut should consider picking up Sloan and hope that he will continue to outplay starting point guard Shane Larkin,
Sloan averaged 9.5 points to go along with 10.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds in their last two games. He almost registered a triple-double in their 116-104 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, where he posted 15 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
Mario Chalmers - Memphis Grizzlies
Mario Chalmers has been very solid for the Memphis Grizzlies in their last several games. The former Miami Heat guard averaged 16.7 points and 7.0 assists on top of 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in their last six games, where he also played 37.1 minutes per game.
Chalmers is a must-own player until Mike Conley returns from an Achilles injury. The Grizzlies starting point guard missed their last six games and still has no target date for his return.
