Jennifer Lopez has been known as "JLo" for over a decade. However, the singer-actress seems to have adopted a new fierce nickname: "Slay Lo."

"I'll take it!" said Lopez after she was asked about her thoughts on the potential new nickname, HipHollywood revealed.

IOL said that the 46-year-old has been wowing fans and the media on the red carpet, especially during awards seasons, with her fashion and style. This earned her the new moniker. The mother-of-two was very happy with the suggestion, which might mean that "JLo" will soon be unheard of. JLo is the shorter version of her full name.

A huge part of Slay Lo killing it on the red carpet is her great figure, which she constantly maintains through a healthy diet and regular exercise. Her trainer, Tracy Anderson, revealed to People that her diet is very clean and all-organic because she needs the right kind of fuel for all her activities.

Anderson said that her diet is well-planned, with the right balance of nutritious food and high-quality proteins. Lopez does not eat processed or packaged food. Maintaining her lean figure allows her to look stunning anywhere despite her age. However, she does indulge once in a while.  

Lopez has several talents and is currently a judge on "American Idol." She has been highly successful as a singer, actress and dancer and has starred in several films and shows, such as "Maid in Manhattan" and "Shall We Dance?" She also has a number of hit songs and albums in the past several years. She released her last album, "A.K.A.," in 2014.

Fans can catch Lopez in her latest role on "Shades of Blue," where she plays a single mother and detective, named Harlee Santos, together with Ray Liotta. Her character gets involved in an FBI anti-corruption investigation.

Lopez talked about the plot, saying that she felt something while she was reading the script.

"When I read it, it made me feel something, it made me feel something right away. And I know if it makes me feel something then it's going to make other people feel something," said Lopez.

She also mentioned that even though "American Idol" is coming to a close after 15 years, there is still potential for its return in the future. She said that such a format makes it possible to come back later.
