Kate Middleton is reportedly joining The Huffington Post UK for a day in February as its "guest editor." And as several reports emerged regarding Duchess Kate's new job, some royal watchers believed that Queen Elizabeth II might be responsible for Prince William's wife needing a job. In fact, Celeb Dirty Laundry even claimed that the Queen might have demanded the Duchess to get a paying job and the guest-editing stint is just a cover-up for a permanent position.

Ever since the Duchess resumed to her royal duties following her months-long maternity after the birth of Princess Charlotte, Kate Middleton has stepped up her efforts and has urged greater action when it comes to mental health initiatives. And according to ABC News, her "guest editor" stint at Huffington Post next month aims to raise mental health awareness for the youth. The 34-year-old mom-of-two will also be inviting leading figures in the mental health field to contribute to the issue.

"The Duchess of Cambridge will continue her work to highlight the importance of children's mental health when she serves as Guest Editor of @huffpostuk for a day in mid-February," the Kensington Palace wrote on Instagram. "The Duchess will use the opportunity to highlight the inspiring work being done by parents, teachers, researchers, and mental health professionals around the country."

While it has not been specified if Duchess Kate, a skilled artist and diplomat, will be working in-office or remotely, a palace official has hinted that the Duchess of Cambridge will be opening the doors of her 20-room apartment at Kensington Palace to the Huffington Post UK group.

"We look forward to welcoming The Huffington Post team to Kensington Palace next month," a Kensington Palace spokesperson said in an official statement, E! News quoted.

As for Huffington Post, the publication said they are excited to work with the Duchess, especially considering her efforts in raising awareness around the mental health issues.

"We are thrilled that The Duchess of Cambridge is joining the HuffPost UK team for a day as a guest editor," Huffington Post Editor-in-Chief Stephen Hull said, as per Marie Claire. "Dealing with mental health issues has been a major editorial focus for us, and I'm very excited to be working together on such an important project."

Meanwhile, Duchess Kate is not the only royal wife to have a career in writing or editing. As a matter of fact, Sarah Ferguson published a number of "Budgie the Little Helicopter" books while she was married to Prince Andrew. While the Duchess' mom, Carole, had also written party-planning columns for two publications last year.
