2016 may be the year of the monkey according to the Chinese Zodiac, but for anime fans, it's the year of our favorite monkey-man anime, "Dragon Ball," as Namco Bandai just unveiled a teaser for the recently announced "Dragon Ball: Project Fusion."

In a report by Gematsu, a website was launched that featured a teaser for the upcoming game. On the page, it has a silhouette of two people doing the "Fusion Dance" with the seven Dragon Balls in the background, with the first ball lighting up.

Although not quite sure yet who the two characters featured in the silhouette are, Game Rant noted that it could be Goku and the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly.

As of now, not much is known about the game, but according to Anime News Network, it was reported that the Japanese magazine V Jump said that the game will feature a fusion between the two powerful characters in the franchise, and a possibility of a release this year.

Unfortunately for fans who own a PlayStation Vita, the game will be an exclusive release for the Nintendo 3DS.

Long-time fans of the show and the game will enjoy the potential team up as the fusion between Goku and Broly has yet to happen either in the anime series, the movies or the official manga.

The game will follow an RPG format and will likely include a handful of new scenarios never before seen in the show. In fact, Bandai Namco announced that fans can create their own original fusion characters and send them to the company via snail mail.

A lottery will be done to determine the winner, with the winning entry slated to appear both in the official manga and the game. One person will also be selected via raffle and will win a "Dragon Ball Z Extreme Heroes Double Back" signed by Goku's voice actress, Masako Nozawa.

Nintendo users are in luck as the video game company has announced its plan to focus more on anime releases in its intellectual properties this year.

The company also announced that starting this 2016, it will give more attention to the development of the upcoming Nintendo NX; however, it has yet to declare an official launch date.

But the biggest takeaway from Nintendo's New Year plan is its decision to break away from its usual market and decided to gamble on the mobile gaming industry.

According to company president Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo will release its first major mobile app this coming March, but declined to specify what kind of app it was.
