Although they would make an awesomely cute couple, "Orange is the New Black" star Laura Prepon is sadly denying rumors that she and Tom Cruise are dating.

She did mention that she thought he was hot though.

In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Prepon addressed the rumors and playfully commented on the absurdity of it all.

"I totally respect him and think he's an amazing actor, but I'm not dating him. I don't know what else to say. It's crazy. It just goes to show: Don't believe everything you read. I have no idea where it came from. I don't know how we ended up 'together.' I'm flattered because I think he's hot so I'm like, 'Oh, that's nice,' and apparently he's very gentlemanly with me. Apparently we get along great and he knows that I have a favorite bottle of wine that I didn't even know I had. So, apparently he's on cloud nine..."

Prepon also spoke with the LA Times about the rumor that Cruise (who, by the way, she's never even met) didn't want her starring in the Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black" because both actors are scientologists and Prepon playing a lesbian in the show was rumored to be against Scientologist faith and practice.

Well, according to Prepon, that's false too.

Prepon reportedly expressed her huge support of the LGBT community in her LA Times interview and commented that homophobia among scientologists is a common misconception.

"The thing that sucks is that there's so much false data because people are in mystery as to what Scientology is, so they just kind of make up stuff. It's kind of unfortunately because then I have to be like, 'No, that's actually not what's happening.'"

Although it's highly unlikely that we will ever see Laura and Tom together as an item, you can still tune in to see Laura be a bad-ass in season 2 of the Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black" that comes out on June 6.
