Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber remain in regular contact and communicate in some way almost every week.

According to Hollywood Life, the "Come Get It" singer and her on-again, off-again ex-boyfriend remain chummy because she likes to know how he's keeping busy.

"He keeps up friendships and talks with many of his exes, including the only real love of his life Selena," a source said. "Selena likes to know where he is and they still text at least once a week. Justin is enjoying his success and is focusing on living life to the fullest and right now that means not being tied down to any one woman."

Indeed, it's been a whirlwind time for the 21-year-old Bieber, ever since he last publicly split from Gomez.

In that time, he's rumored to have dated the much older Kourtney Kardashian, 36, and more recently, teenage model Hailey Baldwin. Bieber also recently went public with his new purple hair, which raised more than a few eyebrows.

Meanwhile, Baldwin is rumored to have learned the hard way just how completely serious Bieber is about avoiding getting tied down right now.

She reportedly fell hard for him during their recent New Year's Eve trip to the Caribbean, but since then, has seen him largely dash cold water on their union. Several media outlets have reported she gave him an ultimatum about committing, but came away unable to lock the pop singer down.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Gomez has recently been spied hanging out with ex-flame Samuel Krost. Us Weekly reports the two were recently seen holding hands while out on a date in Beverly Hills.

"Selena was fixated on him all night and barely paid attention to anyone else," a source said. "She seemed very focused on him and they sat right next to each other in a VIP booth."
