Jailbreak iOS 7.1 Untethered Cydia Tweaks, News, Download & Update: Evad3rs Member Says We Should 'Expect' iOS 8 Jailbreak; 7.1 Update Doubtful
Despite Apple's announcement this week about the release of iOS 7.1.1, the chances of an iOS 7.1 Jailbreak update are starting to slip away.
A member of the Evad3rs -- the hacking group that has provided iOS users with jailbreak after jailbreak -- has indicated that the group will probably opt to wait and instead place their focus on the next operating system. With this being said, there is a slight chance that we could see one of the individuals try their hand at cracking the jailbreak code, but we shouldn't get out hopes up.
"For iOS 7.1, I don't know ... there is a big chance the evad3rs won't focus on it as a team ... expect that for iOS 8," @pod2g said, according to idigitaltimes.com. "If one day, I find myself bored and can put enough time and energy into it, I have some ideas for how to make a 7.1 jailbreak ... depending on how it has been fixed and other external events."
If history is any indication, the iOS 8 release could be coming with the next iPhone release, which is expected to be at some point in the early part of the summer. If the Evad3rs are putting all of their effort and resources towards the iOS 8 release, it would not be too surprising if the Jailbreak release comes sooner rather than later.
Jailbreak fans were becoming so impatient during the wait for iOS 7 that a crowdfund reward for the iOS 7 Jailbreak was created ahead of the release. Although the iOS 7 Jailbreak release came roughly three months after Apple released the operating system to the general public, the Evad3rs were actually planning on releasing it even later. The iOS 7 release came just days before the start of 2014.
In the meantime, people have kept themselves busy with Cydia tweaks as an alternative to the App Store. With these tweaks, users can take advantage of opportunities to make their iPhones more efficient and more convenient at the same time.
What do you think the Evad3rs will do next? Will they focus on iOS 8 and come out with a new Jailbreak sooner than they did for iOS 7? In the comments section located down below, feel free to let us know what you think will happen.
