Dan Donigan is the latest addition to front Marc Jacob's Spring/Summer 2016 campaign. The designer introduced the drag queen on his Instagram. He joins transgender Lana Wachowski and Better Midler, among a few, for the said fashion campaign.

Marc Jacobs took to his Instagram last week to announce Donigan as the newest addition to his star-studded Spring/Summer 2016 campaign. The famous fashion designer shared a photo of the 27-year-old drag queen dressed in a boho-inspired outfit.

"Today I share with you this portrait of Young American, Dan Donigan shot by David Sims for our Spring/Summer 2016 campaign," Jacobs wrote on Instagram.

The designer also wrote about how he first came to recognize Donigan. Jacobs said that he recognized Donigan from the reality series "RuPaul's Drag Race," where he was a contestant. Donigan reportedly joined the show under the stage name "Milk." It was supposedly also through the hit 2014 series that Jacobs realized that Milk used to work for his fashion company, when he saw Donigan dressed in one of the brand's sweaters for men.

On his Instagram post, Jacobs also described the drag queen as "unique" and "artistic" in his drag sensibilities. These qualities reportedly reminded him of the drag queens during his club days at the Copacabana, The Pyramid and other New York haunts that he used to frequent.

Following Jacob's introduction of Donigan as the new face for his Spring/Summer 2016 campaign, the drag queen also took to his Instagram to write a lengthy note of gratitude for the designer. Donigan thanked Jacobs for choosing him to be one of the models for his fashion campaign. He also thanked the veteran designer for his kind words about his profession.

"To be thought of as inspiring to @themarcjacobs, a man I have admired and been inspired by for so many years, is ineffable. Thank you for letting me be your gap-toothed honky tonk BISCUIT QUEEN! I am happy to be a weirdo, I am glad to be a misfit...I am proud to be a face of the @marcjacobs SS16 campaign!" Donigan wrote on Instagram.

Donigan joins the other A-list celebrity models in Jacob's Spring/Summer 2016 campaign. Hollywood actress and singer Bette Midler, "Matrix" director Lana Wachowski and comedian Sandra Bernhard are among the other names previously introduced by Jacobs for his campaign, per Latin Post. Jacobs previously revealed the personalities fronting his Spring/Summer 2016 campaign are those who have made an impression on him in his lifetime.
