Billboard Latin Music Awards Recap: The Winners, The Best Dressed & Everything You Need to Know
It was one of the biggest nights in Latin music on Thursday, and for its 25th anniversary, the show certainly didn't disappoint.
Marc Anthony, who took home 10 awards, was the biggest winner of the night, and he enjoyed every minute of it. From walking up and singing to his hit song "Vivir Mi Vida" to playfully telling his children to go to sleep, the singer was both appreciative and happy. At one point, he even dedicated his award to those who doubted his song.
Prince Royce was another artist who did pretty well, especially on social media. His name was trending in the United States for a big chunk of the show.
Other celebrities who were also well-loved on social media were Gaby Espino, Il Volo and, of course, Marc Anthony.
The best performance of the night was hands down Laura Pausini and Andrea Bocelli. They sounded amazing together, and whenever he was singing, Pausini would mouth the words to his song. She's just as big a fan as everyone else, and it was a sweet moment.
Chayanne also had a memorable performance. He decided to attend and perform, despite his mother recently dying. At the end, there were tears in his eyes. It was a very touching moment.
Marc Anthony belongs on this list as well, as he gave two performances. People wanted an encore, and he gave them what they wanted.
Many attendees brought their A-game this year. The top three dressed women were Roselyn Sanchez in her many outfits, Natalia Jimenez in Balenciaga and Carmen Villalobos.
As one of the hosts, Roselyn Sanchez had plenty of costume changes. But her first dress, which is Badgley Mischka, brought drama and elegance.
Natalia Jimenez also went for a sleek dress, and she wore Balenciaga. The black dress is a great example of how less can be more.
Carmen Villalobos has had missteps before, but this year, she chose a spectacular look. A black dress with a high slit and cutouts.
Some of the trends for women were white or black dresses and long sleeves. Almost every single choice she made was the right one, and she knew that she couldn't wear a flashy necklace, so she wore big earrings.
The best dressed guys, and we realize it'll be controversial, were Chino y Nacho. There were certainly a lot of put together men at the awards (Marc Anthony, Prince Royce and Cristian Castro), but Chino y Nacho showed off personality. It's rare to see men were something that has this much flair.
For the men, there were a lot of blue suits in every shade imaginable, which was also refreshing.
