NBA 2K14 is celebrating the 2014 NBA playoffs by providing fans with new locker codes.

Ronnie 2K and the NBA 2K14 Twitter page made the locker codes announcement this week and also unveiled a new roster update just in time for the postseason.

In addition to the roster update and new locker codes, the game's official Twitter page also announced that the "Historic Series Three packs are back on #NBA2K14 MyTEAM on PS4 & Xbox One. Head over now to pick up greats from '95-'96 Magic and more."

One locker code was released on Thursday night during the matchup between the Warriors and Clippers.

NBA 2K14 was released in the fall and it immediately became a hit among sports gamers. Although it was initially released on the older generation platforms in October, it still enjoyed great success thanks to the significant improvements in not just graphics but even in gameplay modes. Once the next-gen version of the game hit the shelves, NBA 2K14 blew up even more and undoubtedly raised the bar for sports video games.

The game is also setting the tone for future games in terms of online updates throughout the season.
