WWE Fastlane PPV Better Than Wrestlemania 32?
The main card for WWE Fastlane has been set and it will be a No. 1 contender match to determine who Triple H will be facing at Wrestlemania 32 for the WWE heavyweight title.
The protagonists for the PPV are three of the top WWE stars today – Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose.
Without a doubt, that main event is something that should draw in viewers. However, the more important thing here is who wins.
If we are to follow the script, Reigns wins hands down no matter how battered or low it may turn out. Why? Because of the rumoured storylines involving Lesnar and Ambrose.
The whole intent of the main event is to obviously try to remedy (again) the faltering stature of Reigns, as pointed out on the Bleacher Report. The 2016 Royal Rumble was a testament to that, seeing how fans booed him throughout the match whenever he got the upper hand or was on the verge of an offensive.
It pretty much places Reigns on the same boat in 2015 when the Rock had to make a save. However, everyone knows how that turned out, with the WWE trying for almost the entire year to build on Reigns’ stock.
Brock Lesnar could be a hands-down choice to win but the lingering presence of the Wyatt family could spoil all that. A Lesnar vs. Wyatt set is believed to happen at Wrestlemania 32, particularly because there is no one else that the WWE finds fit to duel with the Beast.
Technically, it is all about Lesnar against the Wyatt clan, seeing that a lone Bray Wyatt is unlikely to match up well with a raging Beast Incarnate.
Dean Ambrose cannot be discounted as well. While it will see him battling his pal yet again (the last of which was a Survivor Series), a looming turn could finally happen. Such has been rumoured to take place but hasn’t happened as of today.
Ambrose doesn’t really have a storyline right now though that feud with Kevin Owens is still lingering. Chris Jericho is said to be the guy Ambrose would be facing at Wrestlemania 32, but even that has yet to be confirmed.
With the possibilities and sidelights tied up with Fastlane and Wrestlemania 32, it is obvious that there are a lot of surprises that could happen at Fastlane instead of the big one in April, as mentioned on Forbes.
The real concern right now is on whether the things happening at WWE Fastlane would be perfect as the company gears up for the big dance at Arlington, Texas.
Most of the matches at Wrestlemania 32 are more or less known already, so it is a no-brainer that Fastlane will prove to be interesting as far as the storylines are concerned.
