Customers who pre-order Mortal Kombat X's downloadable content (DLC) or the complete edition of the game, Mortal Kombat XL, will receive a special bonus.

Mortal Kombat X's second set of DLC, called Kombat Pack 2, and Mortal Kombat XL will each come with two bonus costumes if pre-ordered, Attack of the Fanboy reports.

When the first version of Mortal Kombat X came out in April 2015, players who pre-ordered the game received the character Goro.

Mortal Kombat XL Offers Both Packs

Mortal Kombat XL is the full version of Mortal Kombat X for players who have not purchased the game yet. The version also includes both sets of DLC, Kombat Pack 1 and Kombat Pack 2, each offering four additional playable fighters.

If players already have Mortal Kombat X, they can purchase Kombat Pack 2 separately through a pre-order. Additionally, there is a special XL pack that will include both Kombat Pack 1 and Kombat Pack 2 that can be added to existing copies of Mortal Kombat X. There is no pre-order for the XL pack.

Bonus Costumes Offered

With the pre-order of either Mortal Kombat XL or Kombat Pack 2, the Cosplay Pack will be included, offering two new costumes. These two outfits are a Sub-Zero costume for Cassie and a Scorpion costume for Jacqui. These costumes are already available in the game, but not for these fighters.

NetherRealm Studios, the developer of Mortal Kombat X, confirmed the pre-order bonus on Twitter.

Eight New Fighters

Both Kombat Pack 1 and Kombat Pack 2 each included two characters from previous versions of Mortal Kombat and two external characters from movies.

Kombat Pack 1 included four new playable characters: Jason Voorhees, Tanya, Predator and Tremor. Kombat Pack 2, coming March 1, will include Alien, Leatherface, Bo' Rai Cho, and Tri-Borg as playable characters.

Unfortunately for PC players of Mortal Kombat X, Kombat Pack 2 will not be appearing in the PC version.
