EPL Week 24 Schedule, Fixtures, Table & Stream: Leicester City, Manchester City, Arsenal Resume Race for No. 1
Leicester City will look to keep Manchester City and Arsenal at bay in Week 24 of the 2015-16 English Premier League season.
Leicester City vs. Liverpool
Leicester City will go up against Liverpool on Tuesday at King Power Stadium. Leicester are coming off a 3-0 win against Stoke, while Liverpool defeated Norwich in Week 23.
The Foxes are currently on top of the English Premier League table with 47 points from 13 wins, eight draws and two defeats. They just need to win against Liverpool to stay on top of the table but odds are against them after losing in their first meeting this season -- 1-0 on Dec. 26 at Anfield.
Manchester City vs. Sunderland
Meanwhile, Manchester City will try to stay within striking distance or overtake Leicester City, when they go up against Sunderland on Tuesday at Stadium of Light.
Manchester City, who are coming off a 2-2 draw against West Ham, need a win and hope that Leicester City lose in their match against Liverpool to take the No. 1 spot. If the scenario happens, both teams will have 47 points, but Manchester City will overtake Leicester City by virtue of having a better goal difference.
Manchester City are heavily-favored heading into the match after scoring a 4-1 win in their first meeting in December at Etihad Stadium.
Arsenal vs. Southampton
Arsenal are also aiming to get back on track, when they host Southampton on Tuesday at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal lost the top spot after absorbing a costly 1-0 defeat at home against Chelsea in Week 23, which came after settling for draw against Liverpool and Stoke in Weeks 22 and 23, respectively.
The Gunners are currently three points behind Leicester City with 33 points from 13 wins, five draws and five defeats. They could retain the top spot if they win combined with a loss for Leicester City.
