Sorry Ladies, George Clooney is Engaged to British Lawyer Amal Alamuddin: He Popped the Question Over Dinner in Hollywood, Couple Plans to be 'Together Forever'
One of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors is officially off the market! We're talking about 52-year-old Oscar-winning actor, George Clooney.
Sorry ladies.
George Clooney was recently reported to be engaged to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
A source from Us Weekly described Clooney's relationship with Alamuddin as "the healthiest relationship I've ever seen George in."
"He seems incredibly happy, and Amal is such a sweet and intelligent girl, who has her own thoughts and ideas and doesn't just bow down to everything he says," according to the Us Weekly source.
Reports claim that the couple got engaged about two weeks ago but have been trying to keep things on the hush and it seems as though they've done a good job at that. Well, up until now.
People Magazine reports, "George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem. I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever."
Clooney reportedly popped the question to Alamuddin at Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood. According to onlookers, the couple appeared to be toasting to the engagement. Sources even claim that the silver fox told a fellow diner that they were engaged.
This is the second engagement for Clooney, who is known for having a slew of attractive women on his arm over the years.
Clooney was previously married to actress Talia Balsam in 1989 before divorcing in 1993. He has had lengthy relationships with British model Lisa Snowdon, Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis, and former professional wrestler, model, and TV host Stacy Kiebler, whom he split from in 2013 after two years of dating.
It looks like Clooney has finally met his match this time around and we wish him the best with his fiancée. There's been no word yet on when the two will wed but we certainly look forward to the announcement.
Congrats, George and Amal!
