4th of July Fireworks 2013 in Miami: Schedule, Map & Top 5 Places To Watch
Miami has a laundry list of different locations that will be providing amazing fireworks shows. We've compiled some of the best of them here.
1. City of Homestead Concert and Fireworks
1 Speedway Blvd Homestead, FL
(866) 409-7223
For those in southern Miami-Dade County, the Homestead Miami Speedway is also hosting an Independence Day festival and fireworks show. The festival runs from 6-10PM and will feature entertainment, food and music with a fireworks show. For more, call the City of Homestead Department of Parks and Recreation at (305) 224-4570.
2. America's Birthday Bash at Bayfront Park
301 N. Biscayne Blvd. Miami, FL
(305) 358-7550
Enjoy the fireworks from the bay at Bayfront Park's annual fireworks bash. The park is open all day, featuring a kids zone mid-afternoon so that the children can blow off a little steam before the fireworks begin later that night. There will be concessions on hand, and music will play throughout the day. Plan on arriving at least an hour early to find parking in the busy downtown area and to get a great spot to watch the fireworks.
3. Haulover Beach
10800 Collins Ave (Bal Harbour), Miami, FL
(305) 947-3525
Bal Harbour lights off their fireworks display on the southern jetty of Baker's Haulover cut at 9 pm, making the show easily visible from anywhere along Bal Harbour Beach to the south and Haulover Park to the north. A good, if distant, view may even be had at the Haulover nude beach at the very northern end of the park. Yes, the park closes after dark, but arrive early and stick around. They won't kick you out.
4. Turnberry Isle Resort and Golf Club
19999 West Country Dr., Aventura, FL
(305) 932-6200
Aventura has a fireworks display 'in the round.' It's visible from anywhere along Country Club Drive at 9 pm, which means the fireworks go off in the center of the vast golf course that this road circles. Pick a spot on a fairway, maybe along the particularly large lake on East Country Club Drive, or maybe at the Turnberry Isles Resort on West Country Club Drive.
5. Ft. Lauderdale Fourth of July Celebration
A1A and Las Olas
(954) 828-5363
If you're looking to travel up north a bit, Fort Lauderdale is hosting the City of Fort Lauderdale Fourth of July Spectacular. The celebration begins at 1PM with family activities including a DJ and beach games. Music will continue throughout the evening with fireworks on the beach at 9PM.
