One Direction Tours, Songs, and News Update 2014: Band Denies Split Rumor, Promises to Release New Album Annually
One Direction reassures worried fans that they won't be parting ways anytime soon and reveals that they are already working on their new album.
"We always hear rumors about us splitting — but we're not," Harry Styles said. "We've already started recording our fourth album."
Niall Horan also admitted the bond as a band still remains strong. "The fact we have an album coming should put these rumors to bed. We're here for as long as the fans want us," he added. "We're really close as a band. It was lovely to have time off, but now it's great to be back together and on the road."
After revealing 1D's plans to release an album "every year — year after year," Liam Payne talked about the band's new "Where We Are" world tour. "Coming back together is like the first day of school," he said. "We don't want to go into the lessons because the social is too much fun."
Payne got quite emotional as he cried on stage during their first tour concert in Bogotá, Colombia, on Friday. "Niall said, 'I know Liam will probably be embarrassed by this, but he cried a little while we were singing 'You and I,'" @1DUpdatesARG tweeted.
Liam Payne shared a photo, of which himself staring out at the large crowd of fans outside their hotel, on Twitter. "Honestly you guys are gunna set me off again Lima that was an overwhelming experience something I'll remember forever..." he wrote the following caption. "It's so crazy I feel like I haven't done enough to deserve that kind of appreciation gunna spend my day in a state of shock love you guys."
