Macy's 4th of July Fireworks 2013 in New York City: Live Stream, TV Schedule, Map & Top 5 Places To Watch
With performances by Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, among others, this year's Macy's fireworks show on the Hudson River promises to be one of the best yet.

1. Empire State Building

One of the most iconic images in the entire country, the Empire State Building can't be beat for a patriotic fireworks viewing. You'll need to plan ahead for this event because tickets are limited to only about 300 for the night. If you haven't yet made it to the 86th floor of this historic building, now is your chance to see the Manhattan skyline lit up in celebration. Tickets will include admission to the observatory as well as light refreshments. It's not free, but it's one of the best deals in this expensive town.
2. The Sky Room

The Sky Room at the Fairfield Inn & Suites will offer panoramic views of the fireworks from the 33rd and 34th floors. The club boasts the highest rooftop bar in the city, with 360-degree views, including windows looking out over the Hudson River. There will be an open bar from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

4. The Riverboat Ball

All aboard the Queen of Hearts riverboat! As the sun sets, feel as if you're traveling back in time and exploring the banks of Old Manhattan during this 1920s-themed jaunt. The retro bash features the musical stylings of Michael Arenella and His Dreamland Orchestra, ragtime pianist Terry Waldo and tap-dance shows-not to mention gratis cocktails, champagne and a raw bar.
5. Hudson River Park

The VIP section, which boasts an unobstructed view of the display over the Hudson River, has only 500 tickets on sale, so act fast! The luxury viewing party includes grilled food, a full bar featuring red, white and blue patriotic cocktails and a live brass quintet performance.The party is kid-friendly and will also include balloon sculptors and face-painters. There is also a free spot on the eastern portion of Pier 84, which will be open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
