Prince Harry Impresses Schoolchildren with Paternal Skills During Flood-Ravaged Town’s Visit
Is Prince Harry ready to have kids? The 31-year-old royal bachelor has recently charmed schoolchildren when he visited a flood-ravaged town in England on Friday.
During his visit at the village of St. Michael's on Wyre in Lancashire, Prince Harry showed his paternal side when he met and took questions from the schoolchildren. According to People, Kate Middleton's brother-in-law was there in the rural town to see the "devastating impact" of the flood in the community.
The prince, who traveled by train to Lancashire, managed to display his chatty charm when he met soldiers who'd been instrumental in responding to the disaster and spoke with families whose homes has been destroyed by the calamity.
"We didn't know what to expect from him, but he was very easy to talk to, such a nice person. He took time and I thanked him for that," 64-year-old resident Alain Bailey said. His 61-year-old wife Caroline also added, "He's bringing people's attention back. He was very concerned."
What was interesting during Prince Harry's visit, however, was the inquisition of the pupils of Weeton Primary School at Weeton Barracks, Lancashire. The curious kids bravely asked the prince some cringe-worthy questions.
Some of the questions were about the amount of money Prince Harry earns, which he told the kids that he could not answer the question. Others asked about his crown as well as the football team he supports. One pupil even said that the prince got a "very posh accent."
Prince William's brother also laughed and joked with the almost 200 schoolchildren, who had braved the cold weather just to see him, Daily Mail noted.
The county of Lancashire was one of the worst affected by the unprecedented flooding in December, where more than 1,700 businesses and homes were left damaged across its 12 districts, The Telegraph reported.
In other news, 34-year-old Kate Middleton has recently joined the RAF Air Cadets when they marked their 75th anniversary on Sunday. The event was the Duchess of Cambridge's first formal solo event as the Honorary Air Commandant of the organization.
During the event, the Duchess also learned more about RAF's numerous programs and activities by meeting a selection of current cadets, veterans and adult volunteers.
"All of us in @aircadets are delighted today to be welcoming our Honorary Air Commandant, the Duchess of Cambridge," honorary ambassador Carol Vorderman tweeted.
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, passed his RAF Air Cadets patronage on to the Duchess in December 2015, after 63 years serving as Air Commodore-in-Chief. However, he still remains patron or president of 780 organizations and charities, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said.
