Juan Gabriel Out of the Hospital, Will Still Receive Treatment for Respiratory Problems
Juan Gabriel's second admittance to the hospital was supposed to be over after 13 days.
Although the singer has been released, he has to follow strict rules. He has to rest up and he is to come into the hospital every day to receive treatment for his respiratory problems, notes TV Y Novelas.
Therefore, the singer has had to cancel his tour and any other appearances until further notice. He was supposed to perform in Los Angeles in a Mother's Day themed concert, but is no longer able to do so.
Sources close to the singer say he wants to return to his home in Cancun, but he can't really move for the time being.
Rumors said the singer had intestinal cancer, but his rep has since denied it.
"Reports that say Juan Gabriel has cancer are erroneous," the rep told People En Español.
Last week the singer was readmitted to the hospital. Though he assured that he was doing well, others said he was worse off than he admitted.
The source says that he didn't believe in Western medicine.
"He really believes in natural medicine," the source said. "He has great faith in it. Every time that the media speculates on his conditions, his office by order of his son Ivan sends press releases to avoid alarming his fans."
The singer was supposedly diagnosed with cancer three years ago, and the source said that Juan Gabriel was not taking care of himself as he should.
Juan Gabriel was first rushed to the hospital because his lungs were filled with fluid. He had performed a three-hour concert at the Mandalay Bay resort as part of his "Volver" tour.
Initially it was reported that he would get back to work right away.
