NBA 2K14 Locker Codes, Roster Update, My Career, & Mods on Next-Gen Xbox One, PS4: 2K14 Price Reduced for Xbox Live Gold Members; New Locker Codes Released
Video gamers will soon be making the full transition from NBA 2K14 to MLB The Show as the real-life basketball season paves the way for the dog days of summer.
This is great news for Xbox gamers because it also means a drop in price. NBA 2K14 will be $10 off on the Xbox One while the Xbox 360 version of the game will see its price tag drop even more. The price of the game on 360 will be $29.99 and the add-on content will be listed at half price, according to joystiq.
2K Sports enjoyed a solid 2014 campaign with its basketball game in terms of both sales and reception. Most reviewers agreed that the game's graphics, gameplay, game modes, and realistic nature were all significant improvements over the previous version of the game in NBA 2K13. 2K Sports also successfully shot down any comeback attempt for NBA Live, a once-popular game series that lost its edge in recent years. After some time off, the creators of NBA Live unsuccessfully attempted to resurrect the game series this year.
One of the huge marketing tools for NBA 2K14 this year was its theme surrounding LeBron James. King James was the cover athlete and also repeatedly appeared in game trailers before NBA 2K14 was released to the general public. It also helped that LeBron had another successful season and maintained his status as the most popular player in basketball.
In other related news, NBA 2K14 announced a new patch on Tuesday.
"#NBA2K14 Patch #5 has been submitted to 1st party (PS4/XB1)," the game's Twitter account reads. "Usually takes 10-14 days. Patch notes to be released when the patch goes live."
Earlier this week, the NBA 2K14 Twitter page also revealed new locker codes exclusively for the NBA playoffs. You can find these locker codes listed here.
