No Doubt Replaces Gwen Stefani With Former AFI Frontman
Band members from No Doubt made an official announcement that gathered mixed emotions from their fans. The band declared that they would be going back on the studio and hopefully back on tour.
Though the band's announcement stirred excitement among their fans, it came with heart breaking news. The band will be making a comeback without their lead singer Gwen Stefani.
According to the report released by E! Online, the band is moving on with the former AFI vocalist, Davey Havok. No Doubt's bass player Tony Kanal, guitarist Tom Dumont, and drummer Adrian Young informed Billboard about their plans to move forward and get back in the studio.
The newly-formed group, which does not have a name yet, hired Green Day's manager Pat Magnarella, who is already looking for a record deal for the band to complete their album, as per Billboard.
No Doubt went on tour last year in support of the "Push and Shove" movement that included their performances at the Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day, KAABOO Festival in San Diego and Chicago's famous Riot Fest. As they progressed with their tour, Gwen's relationship and her personal life took a detour, which caused her to take break off the spotlight.
No Doubt's decision to move on without Gwen shocked fans, leaving most of them heart-broken. However, as for the songstress, things has been going smoothly ever since her divorce with the former Bush frontman, Gavin Rossdale. The couple called it quits when Gwen filled divorce after she caught Rossdale cheating with her on their baby-sitter Mindy Mann.
Though Gwen went through tough times by mid-2015, she then found love with "The Voice" co-mentor Blake Shelton.
Aside from her budding love-life, her career is also moving forward as she's about to release a new album next month. Her third solo album entitled "This is What the Truth Feels Like" will be released on March 18, 2016. Her album launch, however, is just a start of her 2016 progress as Gwen stated that she has enough songs to make two more albums.
"I was so blocked for so long, and making that last No Doubt record was so hard, like knocking my head against the wall ..." Gwen told Zane Lowe during her interview on Beats 1. "But now it's happening again, and it's like the most incredible thing ever. It's so incredible to be able to use my gift again."
