Simple veggie egg muffins only contain 85 calories per piece. Ingredients for this recipe include onion, habanero pepper jack cheese, cilantro, zucchini and black pepper. This snack can be eaten alone or with a slice of toast for that extra breakfast boost.

Cottage Cheese and Cantaloupe

This simple and easy snack is made using ½ cup of low-fat cottage cheese and ½ cup of diced cantaloupe. Both ingredients provide many healthy benefits. The cantaloupe carries 50 percent of the daily recommended amounts of vitamins A and C for your body. These vitamins can help you get clear skin by avoiding the overproduction of cells in the skin's outer layer.

Cucumber and Cream Cheese

To make this snack, cut one medium sized cucumber into long strips, then mix 2 tablespoons of diced roasted red pepper, 2 tablespoons of low-fat cream cheese and ¼ teaspoon of cracked pepper. After this, spread the cream cheese concoction onto the cucumber strips.

Cucumber, which contains 96 percent water, keeps you hydrated and helps your body fight heat inside and out. It also flushes out toxins, provides vitamins A, B, and C, gives you healthy skin, stabilizes your blood pressure and helps you lose weight. So even though you constantly munch on cucumbers, you need not worry about gaining pounds.

Hard Boiled Egg Whites with Mustard

For this snack, boil four eggs for 12 to 15 minutes. After they cool down, remove their shells, slice in half and remove the yolks using a spoon. Then sprinkle it with pepper and dip in 1 tablespoon of mustard.

Egg whites have no cholesterol, which is good for people going on diets. However, it doesn't contain huge amounts of minerals and vitamins, unlike whole eggs which carry plenty of nutrients.
