Activision confirmed that there are delays in the release of "Destiny 2," but this could signal good things from which players can benefit. Pushing the release back for another year could provide the developers more time to push for improvements and hopefully, these five gameplay features will be added in the next installment:

1) A Playable Open World

The first "Destiny" game was visually breathtaking but it didn't have a lot to offer in terms of space. The outside world was limited and the towns were smaller. There wasn't much to explore elsewhere, unlike other games that allow players to transfer to different planets so that players could enjoy various environments. Improving this will change the landscape of "Destiny 2" in many ways.

2) Improved equipment and rides

While players of the original game have done tweaks to their equipment via expansion packs, there is still plenty of room for customization in the next installment. This feature should be helpful in PvP and PvE scenarios, wherein powerful equipment is vital to the gameplay.

"PvE is driven by a static and mostly repeatable environment, where as long as you know mechanics you can pretty much be guaranteed a completion as a fireteam. PvP has a fluid and non-repeatable environment, with extremely varying difficulties that cannot guarantee a completion as a fireteam," analyzed a fan of the game.

In the same manner, spaceships or rides would also look good when fully customizable for "Destiny 2."

3) Improved social functionality

A role-playing game is more fun to play with a group, but there can be days when you have to go solo. However, with better social tools, it would be easier for gamers to look for other companions or hop onto a different team for quests matches if there's a better way to communicate with each other in real-time. This should be an important feature for all MMO games.

4) More organized vault space

The vault players need to use could also do with some improvements for "Destiny 2" to allow hoarders to organize their loots better. The vault doesn't have to be too big, but it should have enough features to stack and cramp items, while still visually in order.

5) Playable card characters

Grimoire is part of an in-game feature on "Destiny." He's one of the characters in the collectible cards that players try to complete and there are apparently more of these Hive characters in the sequel. It would be cool if developers offer a side quest where players can engage the Grimoire. It would make an interesting diversion to the game.
