Mini HTC M8 Version Leaked Photo, Rumors & Specs on Twitter: Android 4.4.2 M7 Successor Release Date Coming Soon
The HTC One (M8) mini won't be released until next month, but already, much like its larger, regular version the M8, the rumor mill is in full swing.
Prior to the March 25 unveiling of the HTC One (M8) in New York and London, rumors were flying a mile-a-minute regarding the specifications, the look, the feature and when it would be available for sale.
Now the (M8) mini is getting the similar rumor treatment as Phone Arena reported that the miniature version of the critically acclaimed smartphone would not come equipped with the Duo Camera setup.
Earlier this week, Phone Arena got its hands on a leaked photo fo the new device as well. The shape and gun-metal design on the mini are similar to the look of the regular (M8) and the photo also boasts a clear protective case around it.
Reportedly, the device will also not have the rear-facing UltraPixel camera the (M8) has, but it will include a 13-megapixel shooter instead, according to Phone Area.
According to a tweet by the technology tipster, @evleaks, on Wednesday, the (M8) mini might just be called the HTC One mini 2.
Other rumors surrounding the yet-to-be-released phone are that it will run Android 4.4.2 with HTC's latest Sense 6.0 UI, NDTV reported.
The mini, which is expected to have a resolution of 720x1280 pixels on a 4.5-inch display, will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM.
Consumers will reportedly be able to upgrade the phone's internal storage, which starts at 16GB, the help use of a microSD card.
HTC developed a miniature version of its original HTC One (M7) smartphone last year, which also won Mobile World Congress' "Smartphone of the Year," so they are expected to release the miniature (M8) sometime next month as well as provide details on where to purchase the phone soon.
