During a Cinco de Mayo festival in New York, Cristian Castro took the opportunity to deny that he was gay.

The singer, however, said that he is "metrosexual" and added that "all artists are."

"If I were gay, I would say it," Castro said, notes La Opinion. "I think sexual preferences should not be hidden."

Castro has recently posted scandalous, almost-nude photos, and has also dressed as a woman. He says the photos are just jokes. "If I were gay, I would have been with a gorgeous man some time ago," Castro said.

Because it is the year of the horse, Castro said that men need to learn to take care of themselves in the same way as women do.

He says he likes to take care of his nails and that he would pose nude "if you buy me an apartment in New York." He has about 250,000 followers on Twitter, which he said are real people and not purchased.

Cuban singer and actress Niurka Marcos has previously called him a girl.

"Sorry, but I am how I am," she said, according to El Mañana. "I call things by their names. I'm sorry for everybody but the girl in you has come out. Every person has feminine and masculine hormones in their body. But baby, the feminine ones showed up..."

Castro has admitted to wanting to be beautiful. He wants women to envy him and say that he is a hot girl.

He has previously said that he was coming out of the closet, but that admission turned out to be another one of his jokes.

Castro is a highly-publicized public figure, and one of his latest controversies was that a girl that is said to be his daughter was born. Castro at first said that he was excited about it, but he then backtracked and said he would need proof before taking on parental duties.
