Seth Rollins' WWE Return Likely Soon & John Morrison Wants a Piece of Him
Seth Rollins has been aching to wrestle and has mentioned some names like AJ Styles as co-WWE stars he would love to face.
Seeing his rise however, Rollins is likely to get one, plus a whole lot more who are currently and not with the WWE.
John Morrison Wants Dream Match With Rollins
Someone out of the WWE scene who would love to wrestle Rollins is John Morrison. Now known as Johnny Mundo at Lucha Underground, Morrison could someday re-emerge in the WWE ranks.
Though he has been doing good over there, it remains that the WWE can pull off surprises at any point. A concrete example is Alberto Del Rio, who returned unannounced to the WWE scene at WWE Hell in a Cell.
Though that moment remains to be seen, Morrison also has his eyes on several other stars such as Roman Reigns.
“I’d just love to have a great match with Seth Rollins. Roman Reigns, I’d love to wrestle him in like 10 years if he’s still wrestling, because by then hopefully he’d figure out how to work,” he said.
Being a big star though, Lucha Underground execs could make it double hard for him to jump ship. If ever, it could depend on his situation, which for now is pretty good.
Rollins Back in Training
All that aside, Rollins seems to be well on his way recovering from reconstructive knee surgery he suffered in November.
Rollins suffered the injury during a live event in Dublin and that forced him to relinquish his WWE title. The WWE heavyweight title is currently held by WWE COO Triple H, who will make his first title-defense against Dean Ambrose at WWE Roadblock.
Assuming he wins, Triple H will defend it again at Wrestlemania 32 against Roman Reigns.
As far as Rollins’ return is concerned, the former champion was recently spotted back in the ring without a knee brace at the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy.
The sighting is a good sign that Rollins could be returning soon, with the WWE’s growing list of injured stars.
Rollins Won’t Rush Back
Despite the positive development, WWE fans can forget about seeing Rollins at Wrestlemania 32, which happens this April 3. Rollins has been very careful about his newly-repaired knee and rushing back to action doesn’t seem likely. The closest fans could see is perhaps an appearance and nothing more.
Following his surgery, the timetable for his return was six to nine months. With four months already passing, Rollins could make his return in the next two months if his recovery continues to hold up well.
