The development of Konami's "Pro Evolution Soccer" franchise is under way. "PES 2017" will be the latest installment of the popular football video game and the latest news include a possible change in the commentary.

For those hoping that a new commentary team will be replacing Jim Beglin and Peter Drury, this news is not for you. The rumor is that the Portuguese commentary team of Silvio Luiz and Mauro Beting, who has been part of the franchise since 2011, will not be returning for next year's edition.

Milton Leite and Mauricio Noreiga are reportedly in to replace Silvio and Beting on "PES 2017." However, Konami has not commented on the rumor and Portuguese fans have to wait for the official announcement likely a couple of months before the release.

The rumored release date of "PES 2017" is in September 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The gameplay will reportedly be slower than the latest edition and the help system will be modified for a much smoother gaming experience.

Konami is also looking to improve the graphics, especially the lawn texture of the field, the different stadiums and the overall animation of the game. As for the 2017 cover, Lionel Messi is the frontrunner to take over his Barcelona teammate, Neymar. Messi's contract with EA Sports is set to expire this year.

However, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo still have the chance to land the cover for "PES 2017." On the other hand, Ronaldo's Real Madrid teammate, James Rodriguez, is one of the rumored candidates to land the FIFA 17 cover.

'PES 2017' Wishlist

"Pro Evolution Soccer 2016" received critical acclaim from different websites and gaming publications. Some even called it the "best football game ever made" because of the realism of the physicality as well as the dynamic gameplay. Nevertheless, it still garnered some criticism due to its repetitive commentary.

Still, the game can be improved and many users have something on their "PES 2017" wishlist. The first on the list is additional licensed stadiums like Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu, Chelsea's Stamford Bridge, Barcelona's Camp Nou, Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, PSG's Parc des Princes and England's Wembley Stadium.
