Madonna Angers Fans in Australia Leg of 'Rebel Heart' Tour! Singer Shows Up Hours Late; Exposes a Female Fan's Chest
It seems like Madonna's grueling schedule for her rebel tour concert series, which saw her perform over 80 shows around the world in the last several months, is taking a toll on her. That, or the "La Isla Bonita" American singer has developed a bad habit of showing up late at her concerts.
Madonna arrived at her Brisbane concert after keeping her fans waiting for about three hours. Some critics also insinuate that Madonna performs under the influence of alcohol or drugs during her concerts. But, the singer said that this allegation is untrue.
The tardiness and late shows have become a trend with Madonna also showing up late at her shows in Atlanta, Nashville and Louisville for the United States leg of the Rebel Heart tour.
Madonna Exposed a Fan's Chest on Stage
Another controversy from Madonna's Brisbane tour happened after the singer invited a 17-year-old fan to join her on stage at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
"She's the kind of girl you want to slap on the a**... and pull," Madonna said while she pulled down the fan's corset, exposing one of her breasts. The singer was quick to pull it up back and apologize. "oh s***, sorry! Sexual harassment. You can do the same to me if you like," she quipped.
Naturally, the antic did not sit well with a lot of people and Madonna received a backlash over it, especially on social media.
British journalist Piers Morgan even suggested for the pop star to cancel her concert series. "Madonna is in total meltdown. She needs to cancel this tour asap," he posted on Twitter.
The Female Fan Defends Her Idol
The teen, however, had a completely different reaction to the incident after the pop icon exposed her in front of the crowd, which has been captured in videos and is already circulating around the web. To the contrary, Josephine Georgiou defended Madonna and gushed about her experience on stage. She even finds it funny that people were fussing about it.
"Seriously, why would I sue Madonna for the best moment of my life? It was the best night," Georgiou said. "She was calling me a Victoria's Secret model the whole time I was on stage, which is so flattering. Only I get to decide if I'm humiliated or not, why would people assume I am humiliated by my own breast, nipple or body? It's hilarious to me how much of a big deal it is to everyone," she added.
