For big NBA stars like LeBron James, anything he does will always draw attention. That includes his social media activities which many are apparently hooked into.

James is dialed in and looking to help the Cleveland Cavaliers win their first-ever NBA title but the road towards achieving that will likely include a lot of distractions, particularly when it comes to the personnel moves which could happen in the summer.

James in ‘Playoff Mode’

In the eyes of many, seeing James unfollow the official Cleveland Cavaliers Twitter account is a big deal. All of that happened after James’ 41st career triple double via the Cavs 124-91 rout of the Denver Nuggets.

So what gives? Why did James unfollow his own team’s Twitter account? Depending on how one looks at it, it should be much of a concern. But in the eyes of many, it is a big deal.

With James expected to opt out of his contract in the offseason, critics are now toying with the idea of James possibly jumping ship. The move, no matter how petty for the common individual, is sending mixed signals.

That was until it was explained that it was more of James trying to prepare for the playoffs via the mental route.

“So mentally I'm just being a little more sharper minded as of late, just gearing toward it. Understanding that it's right around the corner and it's going to be very, very challenging," said James.

But if that were the case, would it not be easier to just deactivate his account or maybe shy away from social media? There are certainly a lot of ways to do it but unfollowing (no matter how petty it sounds) does bring in more intrigue than explanation.

James’ Future Depends on 2015-16 Campaign

The fate of James will likely depend on what happens this season. If the Cavaliers are able to cop their first NBA title, the probability of seeing James stay is obvious. But what if they fall short for the second year in a row? Will James consider leaving?

Right now, his future as a Cavalier depends largely on that. A loss doesn’t 100% guarantee he would leave Ohio again so everything is touch-and-go. Money isn’t a problem right now since James will obviously get that with his current team. Hence, it could be something else.

Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love Moving in the Summer?

Carmelo Anthony is once again in the limelight and now it seems to possibly hint Melo signing up with the Cavs in the Summer.

But the deal, a three-team pact, will also involve another big name in Kevin Love. Aside from the New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the third team in the mix is reportedly the Boston Celtics.

If the rumor materializes, Anthony would land in Cleveland while Love goes to the Celtics. The Knicks will be allegedly fine with younger players and some draft picks in the process.

Now recall that James has refuted this transaction already.

"It's false. That's the only thing. I can look at it and say it's false. And that's the last thing I was worrying about right now, and that's trade talks for our team," said James.
