Billion-Dollar Wedding Included Walls Covered in Flowers, Superstar Performances And Lavish Gown
The son of a wealthy Russian businessman got married over the weekend and the lavish affair is being dubbed the most expensive wedding ever. The union, which was held in Moscow, is rumored to have cost over 1 billion dollars.
On March 26, Said Gutseriev, the 28-year-old son of Russian businessman Mikhail Gutseriev, married 20-year-old Khadija Uzhakhova in an extravagant wedding like no other at Safisa, one of Moscow's most expensive restaurants and party venues.
The lucky bride wore an outrageously large gown by Elie Saab with diamond covered jewelry and a matching clutch. The dress featured a full skirt, long train and weight about 25 pounds.
As revealed in images shared on Instagram, Uzhakhova needed the assistance of several people to get around or walk up the stairs in the couture dress.
Wedding guests, who arrived in a variety of stunning cars, were treated to performances from music superstars Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and Sting. While there are no specifics on how much each music star was paid, Lopez has performed at weddings in the past and was reportedly paid $1 million to perform three songs at a wedding in 2013.
The couple had a Christmas tree-sized wedding cake and had the venue decorated with tall table floral arrangements and walls completely covered in flowers. To celebrate their union the couple also enjoyed a firework display in their honor.
Guess money was never a concern for this lucky couple.
