This Eating Utensil Tells You How Many Calories You Are About to Consume
Sticking to your diet just got easier with the Spün, a smart eating utensil that counts calories for you.
Currently raising funds on Kickstarter, Spün Utensils uses image recognition to differentiate between foods and motion sensing technology to measure and calculate the calories in each spoon of food that you consume.
The smart device is interchangeable between a spoon and a fork head. You can track your calorie count by sinking the information into a smartphone app. This will allow you to set dietary goals and track your progress.
When having a meal, the Spün will tell you to stop eating once you've reached your calorie count or will vibrate when your eating too fast.
"Let's face it, counting calories and making healthy food choices can get confusing. We decided to remove all the guesswork with Spün," said Umar Bakhsh, the founder of Spün Utensils.
"Spün can help you make your health and fitness goals by telling you exactly what you are eating, when you are eating and how much you are eating.
Spün Utensils hopes to start shipping their product by the end of the year and can be pre-ordered now.
