'NCIS' Season 13 Spoilers Include First Lady Michelle Obama Set to Guest Star; Role Unknown
First Lady Michelle Obama is rumored to be scheduled to make a cameo appearance in an upcoming "NCIS" episode.
Series star Mark Harmon and crew were recently spotted filming scenes in D.C. outside the White House and the veteran actor who stars as Leroy Jethro Gibbs shared that filming would soon be moving inside the Oval Office with cameras fixed on the first lady.
A spokesperson from the CBS aired show later confirmed that filming is now taking place in Washington, but declined to talk about any plans involving Obama.
First Lady's Role Unknown
What role she might take on remains a mystery, as does any details about when any such episode might air. The most watched drama series on TV returns to the airwaves on April 19, for a "Return to Sender" entitled episode.
The guest starring appearance wouldn't be a first for Obama, who previously appeared in a Season 6 episode of "Parks and Recreation" to promote her "Moving Up" campaign.
Now in its 13th season, show producers recently announced that veteran actor Michael Weatherly will be leaving the show to pursue other interests at the end of the season.
Sarah Clarke, Duane Henry Signed as Michael Weatherly's Replacement
Sarah Clarke and Duane Henry were recently announced as new additions to the cast to fill the void left by Weatherly's departure as Agent Tony DiNozzo.
Clarke's Special Tess Monroe character is described as a "multiple divorcee who is as sexy as she is strong." She will also stand out for her "quick-wit and toughness" and is regarded as a "no-nonsense agent with a big heart." Clarke previously starred on the series "24."
Meanwhile, Henry is slated to assume the role of MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves.
As for DiNozzo and how producers plan to handle his surprise exit, a recent TV Line poll found that 28 percent of fans prefer seeing him leave for a life with Cote de Pablo's former Agent Ziva David character.
